Tyler Dawson in the Early Years

Tyler Dawson began his telemarketing career almost 30 years ago with BC TEL (a TELUS company), where he sold long-distance services and calling features, won back customers from the competition, and optimized the customer telephone services profile. He ranked in the top 1% of BC TEL’s 180 telesales representatives and was invited to develop and implement a comprehensive sales training program for the company’s entire telesales department.

Tyler Dawson began his telemarketing career almost 30 years ago with BC TEL (a TELUS company), where he sold long-distance services and calling features, won back customers from the competition, and optimized the customer telephone services profile.

It was at BC TEL that Tyler Dawson learned the basics of telemarketing, including scripting and call list management, as well as appropriate training programs and the fundamentals of selling – all of which laid the foundations for Lead Generators International®. 

Tyler Dawson at the Yellow Pages

At the age of 23, Tyler Dawson moved from BC TEL up to the Yellow Pages, where he managed an advertising portfolio worth $1.2 million in annual recurring revenue. Tyler Dawson’s key accounts included Sandman Hotels, Boston Pizza, Royal LePage Real Estate and hundreds of small and medium-sized businesses. His sales levels consistently put him in the top 10% of 30 Special Accounts Representatives (telephone sales) in British Columbia (BC), and he won numerous awards including Telephone Sales Unit of the Year.

It was at the Yellow Pages that Tyler Dawson learned advanced relationship management, the psychology of consumer buying behaviour, and the importance of being detail oriented and meeting strict deadlines. All these skills have proved invaluable while growing Lead Generators International®.

Tyler Dawson Branches Out on His Own

In 1997, Tyler Dawson left Yellow Pages to found his own boutique sales and marketing consulting firm, DOMINION. Tyler Dawson currently co-manages the company with CEO Keith Andrews. They turn stories into action. Regardless of whether you are launching a brand, constructing a business plan, or developing a lead generation program, they take your audience on a journey towards your desired destination. Tyler Dawson Expands with Another Start-up Company

In addition to founding DOMINION in 1997, Tyler Dawson co-founded Jumpstart Sales & Marketing Inc.®, where he is currently President. Jumpstart has the experience, resources, and contacts to provide every element of a successful event or activation campaign. Since its launch, Jumpstart has been implementing the very best guerrilla marketing, experiential marketing, event marketing, and activation campaigns across Canada. They provide the most professional and knowledgeable staff to connect with consumers.

At Jumpstart, Tyler Dawson managed a staff of 70 sales representatives. He further improved his skills in sales training, conflict resolution, budgeting, and achieving sales quotas.

With the wealth of skills and expertise he had developed over his career, Tyler Dawson identified a gap in the market. In 2004, he founded Lead Generators International®, where he currently serves as President. Lead Generators International® (LGI) is North America’s leader in business-to-business telephone appointment setting, LinkedIn appointment setting, and telephone market research. LGI set sales-ready appointments, book demos, register prospects for webinars and events, and conduct telephone surveys using high-quality, skilled cold calls, email marketing, and LinkedIn.

With the wealth of skills and expertise he had developed over his career, Tyler Dawson identified a gap in the market. In 2004, he founded Lead Generators International®, where he currently serves as President.

Tyler Dawson is responsible for the day-to-day operations of these three sales and marketing companies, which make up The Revenue Acceleration Group® (FindMarketing.com) in Vancouver, BC. Tyler Dawson’s focus is on managing client relationships, company marketing and, with the assistance of a CPA, all financial aspects of the companies.

He dedicates all his resources to providing services that produce an excellent return on investment for each and every one of his clients.

Tyler Dawson’s Personal Interests

When he’s not working, Tyler Dawson enjoys spending time with his adult son, Ben. They love watching various Japanese anime series like Bleach, Death Note, Dragon Ball, and Tyler’s favourite, Vinland Saga. Tyler Dawson is also an avid role-playing gamer and has played tabletop dice games – including Dungeons & Dragons, GURPS, Pathfinder, and Starfinder– with the same group of friends for over 30 years.
